Hi welcome to my website

This website is my introduction to prospective employers who might be looking for an enthusiastic and innovative project & robotics design engineer.

I am project engineer, primarily designing robot cells, automated tooling and control systems for Rhodes Technical Services, a Division of Group Rhodes also known as Joseph Rhodes Ltd. I previously worked for Hyde Group Ltd (Design) Automation Division

(www.hydegroup.com/tooling-automation.asp) from october 2006 following my graduation until december 2011 when I joined Rhodes Technical Services.

Experienced on both large and small robot cells, automated tooling projects and control systems. I have worked on projects with budgets up to £500 million but also some bespoke projects of as little as £ 30,000 with a variety  of applications that have included automotive,

marine, aerospace market sectors, currently the company I work for specialises in aerospace & automative automation projects but we have recently started to look in renewable energy source machinery production automation.

In most of the projects over £ 200,000 I have been working as a team member but my brief has been the design and specification of robotic and ancillary equipment for those projects. Over the last four years I have been heavily involed in the NGCW

(next Generation Composite Wing) R&T project to design techniques, tooling, automated techniques to build the latest carbon composte wings.

I am experienced with Solidworks, Catia V5, Delmia, Pro-engineer, ABB Robots, Kuka Robots, Motoman Robots, Festo pneumatics, Siemens control systems. I have designed & built a number of robot cells, automated tools, end-effectors and siemens based controls systems mainly

for aerospace R&T projects but also for automative industry.

I am constantly trying to come up with innovative robot cell, end-effecter, and control systems designs.
